The purpose of the Cheektowaga Art Guild is to encourage and stimulate interest in all phases of the creative arts. We help to foster and support cultural activities and provide opportunities for members to exhibit and sell their art work. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (except July and August) in the

Harlem Road at 7:30 p.m.
On July 7th and 8th we participate in the Cheektowaga Cultural Society's Family Days with our Annual Arts & Craft Show and Competition. It is a judged show and prizes and ribbons are awarded on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday are filled with fun and entertainment for the whole family, it is drug and alcohol free with plenty of free parking, it runs from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. There is an entry fee for the art and craft competition. Entry applications are required. Food will be available for purchase. For information and applications phone 597-2519 or 901-3229.

The Cheektowaga Community Chorus is a 4 part mixed adult chorus that seeks to combine the enthusiasm and dedication of volunteer singers with high artistic standards. The addition of youth programming has expanded educational opportunities and brought a heightened awareness of the choral art form to the public. The Chorus performs two major concerts each year, sponsors an annual "Music Camp" each June, and participates in Town civic events. The Chorus is committed to education, outreach and community service. Singers need not reside in

To stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs, to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds and also to encourage civic planting. To cultivate friendship through gardening.

Organization purpose is to collect and preserve the history of our Town and to educate citizens about our past by displaying artifacts and exhibits. Exhibits are frequently on display in libraries, prepared by historian and staff. The museum is open curretly from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on the first Sunday of the month (except January and February).
Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at the
Alexander
Community Center,

Cheektowaga Lions Club aids the blind and hearing impaired. Helps needy families with eye care. Presents Scholorships to town students and supports

Y.E.S. is a volunteer program for teenagers between 12 and 18 years of age. Y.E.S. volunteers at local nursing homes, libraries, and at a variety of community agencies and events. Orientation is manditory and takes place in May 2003. Pre-registration is also required for all events. Call 897-7207 ext. 17 for more infomation.

The Association is a Not for Profit, Informational and Educational Type B Corporation. We basically inform members of the Cheektowaga/Depew area of environmental issues and rezonings in the area as well as developing problems such as traffic.

Memebership is open to Town residents who are property owners concerned with maintaining a responsible Town government and preserving safe neighborhoods. Our area centers on the business district along
Harlem road that is bisected by the town line. The area extends north to
Main Street, south to Rt. 33, east to Rt. 90 and west to
Eggert Road. Our main goals are to revitalize and beautify this business district and surrounding community. One of the unique challenges to and strengths of our Association has been working with both towns, as well as the County and State, to achieve our goals.

Park is a unique and priceless natural and recreational open space resource for the Town of
Cheektowaga. Within it's 308 acres is a complex system of interrelated natural and man-made features catering to diversity of users: Humans, Wildlife and Plants. As the parks popularity continues to increase, those special qualities and attributes which make
Stiglmeier
Park special are subjected to increased pressures.
The StigImeier Park Steering Committee seeks to preserve those qualities which make this park special by balancing the needs and interests of all park users, as well as the community at large. The committee intends to act as a forum for all interested parties to discuss and plan the parks future. The committee also intends to actively engage town officials and staff in these efforts to ensure that
Stiglmeier
Park continues to offer an exceptional recreational and natural environment for future generations.
Membership on the committee's consists of interested persons or organizations in the Town of
Cheektowaga who represent a cross section of park users, and are appointees of the Town Board for a period of 2 years.
