Small cities can be great places to live – offering residents a sense of community along with the conveniences of city living – and many of them are growing. In fact, a recent SmartAsset study found that five of the top 10 boomtowns in America have fewer than 100,000 residents.
Some small cities are better than others when it comes to laying down roots, so SmartAsset’s fifth annual study crunched the numbers to find the most livable small cities nationwide.
The analysis compared 286 cities with populations between 65,000 and 100,000 people across 11 metrics related to home affordability, job opportunity, healthcare accessibility, income equality and entertainment density.
Based on our findings, Cheektowaga ranks in the top 10 most livable U.S. cities.
