2026 Community Needs Assessment Survey

Each year the Town of Cheektowaga receives over $1 million in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds. CDBG funds can be used for eligible activities in the areas of housing, economic development, public facilities, and social services. However, all funded activities must meet one of the following national objectives: assisting low- and moderate-income persons, aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight, or responding to an urgent need (i.e. national disaster). HOME funds are spent specifically to facilitate affordable housing. This survey helps provide insight on what is important to the community.
